Hey everyone, new to the forum. Bought a Scar 17s a couple months ago and absolutely love it so far. It is my first nice rifle and with it my first nice optic. I started out with a 1-4x and decided I wanted something with more range and had my heart set on a Nightforce 2.5-10x. Stopped by my local Cabela's but the selection was slim and the 2.5-10x NXS was on back order. I noticed a Nightforce box sitting in the back of the case gathering dust and I asked to take a look. It was a 3.5-15x NXS Mildot reticle with a price tag of $1799. I couldn't tell if it was the F1 model or not so I asked them to scan it and see. Well it was the older SFP model but it was on clearance for only $899. Needless to say I bought my first Nightforce scope! It is a little bigger an more glass than I wanted or need but I couldn't pass it up. And it is actually not as heavy as it looks. The glass is stunningly clear, great reticle, and nice illumination. Can't wait to stretch it out at real distance.
