Little mis-fire on a round of Port... (too light of a hit, but SEAL not suspect)

Having blown through 175 rounds of mixed Port/SA/Hirt/Radway Green this afternoon using 1 PMAG and 1 unsuspecting steel plate, it was another fabulous outing with the SCAR. The SEAL did it's job, feeding rounds, hosting a Geiselle Trigger, looking freaking amazing. More pictures in a moment...

From the moment I unboxed the SEAL it reflected significant amount of care that went into building and assembling. Even though it cost >1K for a completed unit with a Geiselle trigger installed, it was nice just having to remove one completed lower and install the SEAL completed lower. Only the very first time did it require a touch extra force to seat it. After that it sits maybe a thousandth deeper, but just hitting the pin with my palm gets it lined back up again. The MIAD trigger is crazy-ergonomic and it's nice having the AR PG option here! The Stryker Mag Release (SOAMR IIRC) is a great upgrade and the Magpul Selector is good too. While I had never had a misfire with surplus ammo before, I'm going to need a lot more of those with a lot different types of surplus before I suspect the lower. I do wish there was an available drum option, but I refuse to waste a second of time on that topic and we'll see what Beta comes out with, if anything. I have every reason to believe those waiting for theirs and their FDE/OEM Mag versions will be equally pleased with their purchase. Jim knocked it out of the park on this one for sure!

First off...Great scenery where you shoot. Sounds like you had blast shooting the mighty 17. Thanks for posting the review and pics. It sounds like the SEAL is batting a thousand ! I can't get over how good those 25 round mags look in the rifle. I'm enjoying the heck out of reading about the shooting experiences with the SEAL lowers and drooling over the pics lol. Yes these SEALS make for an exciting time on the forum indeed. Carry on...

Maybe it's because you're so busy posting in the threads about the SEAL you have trouble keeping track of your comments. :p

Nice review, and photo's!!!

Once in a while you run across a possible dud primer, for what ever reason.

Curious, did you put that round back in the weapon to see if it lit on the second try???

Can I get one that takes SCAR mags
Stryker is making a version of the SEAL that does, going to be a bit. Keep an eye in the forum for it.

He is busy getting the P-Mag version out first.
