I brought home an FNX-45 a few weeks ago and it has been awesome. Sunday when I was reassembling it, following a good cleaning after some range time, I had an issue getting the slide back on and I wanted some feedback. The issue was that a small metal tab was sticking up near the rear slide rails assembly, and I had to press it down in order to get my slide back on. I'm new to FNH firearms, and everything seems to function properly, but I have never run into this before when taking my FNX-45 apart and reassembling it.

Must have bumped the trigger a bit, that will cause the trigger bar to pop up a bit. I always just make sure it's pushed down before reassembly.

You EDC a FNX-45? That is quite a task.

I noticed another thing to watch for is make sure the recoil spring is straight. If it's off center just a bit it won't allow the slide to slide all the way back when reassembling. At least that is what I noticed on mine.

Nothing wrong with your FNX, as previously posted, just push the tab down. A problem if it won't push down. My SIG P220 has a similar tab in the frame rail. After cleaning, I always rack the slide and drop the hammer in both SA/DA just to make sure everything works. You can do the same with your FNX.
