Target on right is from cold barrel and a scope adjustment. Those were a mix of 2 155 custom comps and 168's. They all had 40.4 of RL15. Seems I can just copy my varget loads and RL meters better, but I hand weigh the powder on each. Best part of the groups is I didn't sort the LC Brass or use benchrest primers. I use a front bag on a bench for all these targets. Hope I'm not boring anyone here, so I change it up a bit and change to the 16 for a while.

"Boring anyone"!?? I LOVE IT!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!! Awesome stuff right here. Great shooting my friend! :? (Time for myself to get busy and break out the RL15 that's just doing nothing on the shelf.)

This was just a couple of gr above varget. I don't have a chrono, but at this point it seems to be very close in accuracy. Varget is so good and should be less temp sensitive. I'm trickling the last bit on every round so metering really doesn't matter. I wonder if it would matter more if you were more worried about velocity and 600yd+ accuracy. XBR in this range was very good as well. The one I haven't been impressed with is IMR 4895. I started with that as I had a jug, and the M14 forum really likes as well as many here. I wonder if close velocity is better than all the other variables? All my POI's have been so close it makes me think I found the right velocity. And then again these powders are pretty close. That earlier posted nearly one hole 200yd group by another member should keep me coming back.

I'd try 40 just to see what velocity you get. Lyman shows 40 as a starting point with 44 max for the 175. The above load is pretty mild as I had good groups low. I had some nice 100yd groups with 40 of Varget/175's and RL15 isn't too different. I just don't need super velocity, but there may be an accuracy node at the higher powder level as well.
