Was trying to clean(first time) my Remington 870 Express HD (with mag ext tube) this week and I could not remove the magazine cap. It seems rather over torqued from the factory. I got the mag ext tube removed but the cap is stuck.
Anyone have any tricks as to how to get it off?

I'll have to pick up one of those from Lowes this week.
Didn't want to use a metal wrench and scratch everything up.

It works good for a lot of things.

I would use RoboGrip pliers from Sears with the soft vinyl caps they come with over the jaws. They allow an adjustable yet stable grip. I have used them on similar soft/delicate items without marring any finishes.
