I know if you scuff up the slide cover, you can buy a new one for $20 from MGW and replace it. You can get one even cheaper directly from FN.

I know the lower frame is the part that has the SN and you can't simply replace it. But it does look like it could be easily done. All the parts and the SN plate would move right over to a new lower frame. Do you think FN would provide that service if someone damaged their lower frame, or wanted to change the color?

My thinking is probably not because it would essentially be the same as stamping your serial number on a new lower, and that is not legal. Did I just answer my own question?

I wish. You could dig out the serial plate on almost all polymer frame guns its getting it back in would be the tricky part haha.

Actually my black one is at FN for repair and I much prefer the FDE lower, so I was just thinking...
