I have been emailing safariland for six months or so, trying to get a definitive answer as to whether or not they were going to develop a light bearing holster for the fnx .45. Most of the responses I got said they would forward my request to the development people.

I talked to someone at safariland today through facebook who said they would need 500 orders to develop an SLS holster and 1,000 orders for an ALS holster.

Just FYI for anyone else who is looking for a safariland duty holster that's made for this gun.

Looks like it will take a large agency issuing these guns to get the holsters made.

I have spoken with everyone at Safariland about this from the Director of Marketing, to the Dircetor of R&D, to the VP; without much luck.
Our department is using 6280s for a light-mounted XD 5" for our FNX-45s (model #6280-14921-131).
I have also spoken with several FNH employees about this issue to get them to put pressure on Safariland. Its my understanding that the lack of available duty holsters was the primary reason FN lost the Indiana State Police deal and they went with Sig P227s.

I wonder how many civilians that own an FNX 45 Tactile would want to purchase a Sarariland holster for it. I wonder if we can get 1,000 orders together. I wish Safariland had a page dedicated to request like this. That way they could keep track of the demand and that way people would know where to find/make a request.

Safariland has likely the worst least usable website of a major company I have ever tried to use. It would likely be something you would have to track as I am also trying to find a RDS ALS holster for my FNX and will be looking up Dantalion's suggestion or possibly a 5" XD holster in the 6390 line if they make one for that pistol.

I've emailed three times over the last two years asking for the same thing. I'd put in an order.

I want an ALS to fit an FNX-45 with an RMR and X300.
