lapua 170g lock base fmj ... anyone tried this yet ???? i see lapua is coming out with a new version tailored for the scar .... called semi auto ...

was thinking one could do a little better with 8208xbr 170 lb..... from what i hear it likes to be pushed hard ???

i know lapua 170 hps-ti with a more temp stable powder is loaded a little softer then there hps sniper ammo ... im thinking this is it re branded as semi auto and showing ballistics from a 16" barrel ..instead of 26" ... thinking 2 bucks a rnd

If people realized how simple it is to reload .308win for accuracy you would have the same smirk I have right now when I see $40 for 20 rounds.

thats what i was thinking .... 1000 rnd over 2k ....

if you reload almost half the cost for the best ammo with lapua brass ... just ur time ... and i bet it will perform better when ur DONE ...

I don't think I would have any desire to replicate that load unless it shot amazing compared to every other bullet/case/powder combination I have used in the past.

Not to mention I could load double the amount of 155's, 168's- 175 SMK's or even the 178 A-max for that cost using my own once fired brass.

Most if not everything Lapua does is top notch I just can't spend double on something based on that alone.

It's even less than half if you already have the brass from the first case or so that you fired! (So glad I save all the Lapua brass from the cases of 167gr match I bought.) Fed primers and Sierra 168gr MK, and IMR 4064.)
