Yesterday was a good day. I took my daughter hunting, and right at dark a deer came out right behind her. Well I got the shot. It was my first time to hunt with a scilencer, and it was nice to be able to hear the bullet hit the deer.
I'm not sure why it uploaded sideways. It was vertical when I previewed it.

Big Muddy, your eyes are right. He only had one side and it was 14" long with a split. I was shooting for meat, and he has plenty! I have been busy and only hunted 3 times this year. My daughter got her first 2 with the 17 back at Thanksgiving.

Nice! Congrats on a succesfull hunt.

I just got back yesterday. I got nothing! But one major reason is that I took my 19 year old cousin who hasn't hunted before. He has a lot to learn about hunting and even just being quiet. We only came across some does and spooked a few other deept in some crazy thick brush. My hunting areas are all that suited to the 17 but they are doing some clearing so next year I'll most likely have a climbing stand and take my 17 out a few times.

I was using a 150 grain boat tail hollow point. It did a good job, and the deer didn't go far. I had a good blood trail to follow. The only bad part is the deer ran through a bunch of pines. Thay made finding blood a little bit more difficult. When I found the blood, it took 2 minutes to recover the deer.
