Never had that issue, is it possible that the apeture can be tightened? Ill have to look...

I took the sight assembly off and I think the issue is that the sight post isn’t folding down far enough to fully catch the locking bar.

Did you find a fix for this? My SCAR 17 started doing the same thing.

Wow, have killed some scopes with mine but I've never had my rear sight flip up. Probably have 2,000 rounds combined through mine. Good luck.

In case anyone is interested, I installed a buffer and charging handle from Hi-Desert Dog on my 17 and my rear sight no longer pops up when firing. I don't think the charging handle had anything to do with it, but the buffer might have changed the recoil slightly (I couldn't tell the difference, though). Nevertheless, I am no longer frustrated with my SCAR.
