If you had to pick a DuraCoat Color to match the Factory Brown SCAR paint, which would you choose?

And is it true that DuraCoat has the same properties as (is the same thing as) automotive paint?
Is the factory SCAR finish this type of paint as well?

I'd say either desert beige or mirage sand. The Magpul FDE looks too dark to me, though the SCAR's color is flat dark earth. Can't help you with the other questions though.

Ha, I'm going through the same thing to get my XCR upper duracoated.

It LOOKS like Coyote brown is the closest match, even though the scar is FDE.

Factory finish on the SCAR Mk16 & Mk17's is the Flat Dark Earth color of the injection molded plastic(lower & buttstock assy), the aluminum upper receiver is anodized flat dark earth, there is no paint on the SCAR's.
