Hello,
Just purchased a new scar17 nrch
Beautiful rifle and everything looks perfect besides the little play the lower has.
specifically where the takedown pin is located. You can move the lower side to side and can hear it rattle a bit.
is this normal on these? If it is, I will just forget about it. It just annoys me a bit. When carrying it by pistol grip, you can also hear, feel it slightly moving.

how much are you talkin?

if you insert a mag, does it go away? if so, def normal
a few users have mentioned using an o-ring to tighten it up

My 17S wobbles like that but it’s 8yo. The newer ones that I’ve handled in the store seem tighter. Maybe better manufacturing tolerances? Or just loosening from usage? My assembled Cypher/Stryker 17S CQC has stayed tight for years but then it’s all metal so I wouldn’t expect much deformation. In any case, I’ve never noticed a functional difference between them due to a wobbly lower.
