I'm almost ready to purchase a scope for my 17 but wanted to clear up a few last Q's... I'm looking at a vortex viper pst 4-16x50 (ffp) with an Adm mount

Will I be satisfied shooting @ 800 meters w 4-16 or should I opt for the 6-24 version?

Will the 50mm objective pose a mounting issue with the Adm mount?

Also which Adm mount is ideal for the 17 with a scope like this?

ADM Delta Scope mount, and 50mm objective is fine. I would go with the FFP VORTEX VIPER HS LR with a hold over grid reticle.

How much at 800? More zoom is nice, but if it's just occasionally, I'd go lower.

4-16 will do more than suffice to 800m and the ADM DELTA will mate seamlessly with both the glass and the SCAR.
