Scope ring question for mounting flashlights

Ok, so I think I've seen something like this before (or maybe I'm just making it up in my head because I think it'd be cool). Does anyone know where I could locate a scope ring that has some sort of quick-release system so that I can quickly attach/detach a flashlight? Is this sort of thing even in existence? :-?

I assume U mean NOT a screw to unscrew, right?

I have only seen scope rings with either a large thumb screw, or an allen screw.

Correct. Something that will attach to the rail (via a screw or whatever, like normal), but where the actual ring that will hold the flashlight (or scope) has a quick-release. This may not actually exist... :(
What's the diameter of the flashlight you want to use?

I'm using the Surefire G2 Nitrolon. It currently fits in the 1" scope rings I have, so I'm guessing right around that diameter, if maybe just slightly larger.

This should work: https://www.dsarms.com/prodinfo.asp?number=FSFAS2 , it uses a separate screw to lock down the flashlight and has a spring-loaded QD mount. In fact, I think I have one sitting unused in the gunsafe if you're interested.

Tomac, if he dosnt want it let me know, I'll take it.

Sorry - but read my link here:

The one I had SUCKED. I did my initial review when I first got it, but then I did a 2nd follow up.

I had to beat it up the rail with a mallet, and back down to get it off. You could take off 10 scope rings in the time it took to get the one off I had.
I am new and I just bought a Five-seveN and PS90. I have both guns, but I have not received the side rails yet to test if they will go on, but I have leupold quick release scope rings and also another brand that I don't remember. I had planned on using those to mount my light assuming everything fit. I actually bought some rings by mistake that were to short to mount my scope to my Tikka T3 Tactical, so I think those will come in handy attaching the light. I'll let you know if it worked when i receive my side rails.

I appreciate the offer, Tomac, but I think I probably didn't explain what I'm looking for well enough. I want something that will allow me to mount my flashlight to the PS-90, but will allow me to quickly detach my flashlight (and only the flashlight), not the mount.

So, basically you want something like a snug fitting holder that you could pull the flashlight out of? Is that what you mean?

Yeah, that would work, yes. Something that will mount to the PS-90 and hold my flashlight until I decide to remove the flashlight from the mount.
I personally can't think of anything like that, but I'll keep my eyes open for something and let you know if I find anything. I would think for something like that, it would probably need to be a stiff clamp type thing that you would pop a light into from the side rather than sliding the light into it since the end caps on most lights are bigger and might make it difficult. Something like in a C shape I guess.

Also, how do you get the quote thing to work? Every time I try it, it messes it up somehow.
A stick with a ergo rail on it would work. You could get an m3 and then pull it off and slap it on a broom handle with a picitany rail to make a hand held light.
FSCJedi, Surefire makes a the mount that I have on my PS90, The Light I have is a P6 and the mount has a lever that releases the light from the mount. However, the mount is attached/clamped to the rail by two allen screws.

The Surefire light cost me $50.00
and the Surefire mount cost $28.00

I'm looking on Surefire's site right now and can't find what mount you are talking about. Do you have a model number or something? This sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! The P6 mount should fit my G2 as well since the only difference is your's is metal and mine is the Nitrolon.
