Hello all this is my first post here on this board. I have a question. I recently bought my first Belgium FN. I have read about guns that are sear cut. What is the serial number range on these guns? Just trying to figure out if I have one. The serial number on my gun is 25028XX. Thanks for all of your help in advance.

You can tell if it is sear cut- it will have a washer sized space cut where the upper and lower hinge.
I don't know the serial numbers, but if you can't get the info your looking for here I would suggest the FAL files forum.

The SN's jumped around on the type III FNs. If yours was imported by Steyr Secaucus NJ (or Katsenes in CA(?) think only 20 of those) and is sear-cut it is OK, so long as the ejector block is NOT sear-cut. The SN range you give fits in with the Steyr imports. Steyr only, not dual marked Steyr and Gun South.

2500001-2502000 are the sear cut receivers for FN/Steyr, Secaucus, N.J..
Yours is an early 50.00 with long flash hider I am presuming. :?
