How come FN can't make them yet companies like US ordnance, now desert ordnance and ohio ordnance works can make them yet FN says its too hard?

I so want an M249 yet I don't want to shell out $14k for one.

It not that it is too hard. I just takes alot of engineering that FN does not have time to spare. There are more many more important projects at this time.

It wound be a novel item, but I wouldn't think that their would not be enough interest is a 22 LB belt fed, semi auto. The cost would be to high for must to afford. I've humpped that beast and the M240 G over hills and yonder, they are heavy.

SCAR is the way to go.

A civilian SCAR H is my idea of a proper 7.62 solution.

If you've never shot a belt fed semi-auto, you don't know what you're missing.

I'd be all over a 249 if they kept the cost the same as what LE agencies buy it for. Made in the USA too!
