Hey FNMAN. Merry Christmas! I'm going to buy a lot of 5.7x28 ammo and have a question. Is the storage life of the 195 LF shorter then the 197? And if so what IS the estimated shelf life of the 195 LF and what is the shelf life of the 197?

Thanks so much

If they are both lead free, I would say the life is the same. It;s the leaded primers that fail isn't it?

As long as it is stored in a cool dry place it should last as long as anything else non-lead. I have ammo from the 70's that works just fine.

YEAH. I've heard that the 195 only last a few years. I need to hear it from the man who knows.

I believe ONLY the 195 has the lead free primer - rumor is about a 2 year life span based on other rounds that are lead free. This is what the reloader guys say - I have no idea...
