I was tracking the Scar on gunbroker and look what I found. User
"motorboy" has been busy. He is buying high so he is not buying bargains to sell at a profit. Not that much collector value later. Wonder whats up??

I saw that motorboy615 bided high on 4 auctions what ever happend to #120085440 it ended early so I called the dealer to ask why, got no answer so I looked it up and saw it was sold for 4,225.00 to cancelcausa did he beg the dealer to sell it to him ? I saw his name asking people on this rag if anyone knew where to buy a SCAR and he was laugh at for no reason. well I am glad he got one. someone named Kabel paid 7,525.00 on auction #120277370 :? I dont know if motoboy shelled out 9,275.00 for #120173823 :evil: but he did do a buy now for 6,200.00 #120536526. I hope the big spenders are done, and any new listing will be more reasonable. The dealers who got thier rifels late will be mad as hell for a lost opportunity. but you can't feel sorry for them, because they were going to price gouge. and the window closes, thats democracy at work. More power to the consummer!! we need to stop at 3,000.00 because the rifels wholesale price is around 2,100.00 I only know because a shop owner sliped and told me one day after he got back from a gun show.

As tempting as buying number 47 is I think I'll have to pass. Hey, has anyone else noticed that the certificates for the first 100 appear to have a blue border whereas the certificates for everything after that do not. Also, I haven't seen a number over 200 yet. Given that there are 1000 in this first run me thinks perhaps most have still not shipped.

I believe that only the first 200 were to be shipped this month. 200 a month is the goal until the end of the year. I believe the certificates are two different types. Mine is one of the first 50 and doesn't have the blue certificate. Maybe they have different colored one for odd and even numbers?

It is my understanding that there are only 200 in the first run. The next run will be 1000 and is planned for late spring. I'm waiting for those rifles.

Another SCAR sold on gun broker #120491024 gun#97 5.525.00 price comming down I am really starting to feel sorry for the gun dealers who did'nt get thier Scar's yet . :roll:

I stopped by my local FN dealer in the southern metro Twin Cities area, wont mention the name, and looked to see if he had a Scar at retail I could buy and sell on Gunbroker for a $2000 profit and he said "they are not out yet" looking at me like I was an uninformed fool.

I dont think I will go back there again at his prices anyway even though I have bought a couple of guns every year from him for a while now.

I have called an FN stocking dealer to try to preorder for a SCAR last week he had no idea they were released "said he was going to call FN to find out where his rifels were after seeing someone had bidded 8,000.00 for one on gun broker " talked to him yesterday FN told him "They had no idea how the SCAR was released to dealers allready, they should'nt have been." They told him. SOO .... what are those rifles we are seeing on gun broker Chinese fakes? Do they even fire? :-? :twisted: Saw a Scar on gus america sell for 4,299.00

I would say you were more of an uninformed fool for expecting a SCAR to be available for "walk in" purchase... but that's just me. That's like trying to buy Superbowl tickets at their starting price the day of the game. Not gonna happen.

It's a commodity. It'll trade high for a while, then it'll come down. Be patient, and before someone says "but BHO will take them away before I get my first super cool gun or accessories for it", guess what, if you don't have alternatives by now, you missed the boat about six months ago. (Try finding a P-mag retail, it's possible, but not very likely)

Only 3 new auctions on gun broker in the past two days I have only seen a total of 27 Scar's tisted on GB and a only 11 rifles sold cheapest being sold for 4,999.00 #120470866 still to much for my budget

Yup, less guns available and the price has dropped ????? They were going for $7000- $8000 last week. This week we have seen $4000- $5000
prices. Perhaps the big dogs have left the show now. Lets see if they are still available and selling for $3000 in a couple of weeks.

I got one on GunBroker

I picked up one of the Limited Edition SCARs on GunBroker for the bargain price of $4350. Since then, I haven't seen one sell below $5500 with the majority reaching nearly $7000.

Here's the best part of the deal. I had no idea what serial number I was going to get. And to my surprise...I GOT NUMBER 13!!!! Needless to say, I'm pretty happy.

Good for you, neat number. I only see one on Gunbroker right now and it is back up in the $5000 range. FN source said new ones in two weeks, that was going on three weeks ago so I hope they start showing up soon.
