At first look it is pretty nice.

The outside finish is as nice as the black paint finish on my FN HP. Actually a little nicer. It is not a high gloss blue finish.

The machine work on the inside looks good. There are no obvious tool marks.

It is nearly an inch shorter. It really seems to make a difference in gun handling charactersitics.

The slide to frame fit is about the same. As the stock slide.

It looks really good on the weapon.

On the down side.
Racking the slide takes a little more effort. ( I guess i am a girly man)

the Slide release is shorter than my stock release.

It has about the same mass as the full length slide. I think this is to make sure it cycles correctly.

Hey it is a great way to spend 200 bucks.

I own a FM detective and I do agree on the slide, but I think thats on account of the shorter barrel. I dont think there are many better CCW out there

I have one too, it's a reliable drop in conversion kit, and the big disappointment was the front sight. It was advertised as dovetail but it's not, and I cannot install a tritium front sight now. It's my summer CCW
