Thank you, Yes I cut the foam myself, it is actually quite easy I just outlined the shape of the rifle in the location I wanted with a sharpie on the middle piece of foam then cut it out with a jigsaw. Make sure to cut inside of the lines to ensure a snug fit. I also had to cut a small piece out of the upper foam because the charging handle sticks out a tad. Overall I thought is was going to be a lot harder than it was. I had watched a couple youtube videos on it first but since I didn't have an electric carving knife on hand I just used a jigsaw for wood with a new blade and worked perfectly.(Although I do have a lot of experience using the jigsaw on wood so your results may vary.)

As pictured without a mag I just weighed it right now and it is 11.020 pounds or 176.2 ounces. Not light weight but that is with the bipod and everything exactly how you see it in the pictures. If i remember correctly the scope is 19 ozs, the adm mount is about 8 oz(I'm not positive) and the bipod is around 11 oz i think. It is very comfortable to shoot but my main focus was on getting components as durable and reliable as the scar itself. So I excepted and expected the additional weight... it feels good and I am very happy with it currently. Maybe after next season when I take it out for Blacktail deer and hogs in my neck of the woods I may want to change it up but as of now I am loving it. OK maybe its time for me to consider buying a second 17s for a light weight build.

Good eye, I absolutely love it. It looks great, has held up extremely well(minor expansion with change in temp) and the family doesn't have to worry about splinters.(It was redwood for 15+ years before)
Nice! Redwood is pretty sweet although very expensive to get down here in the south. I'm wanting to go with Ipe next time I win the powerball :). Scar looks sick by the way! Has the deck color faded any?
