My LGS called about a new arrival-a Sig M400 pistol. I generally prefer the cleaner operation of a piston system (SIG 556) over DI (M400) However, the M400 weighs about .8 pounds less than the SIG 556. Any thoughts or experiences with either weapon?

I have the Sig 556 pistol. I like it. Some people hate them. It's not on par with the actual Swiss guns by any means. But it is fun, reliable (at least mine is) and easy to strip and clean. It is fairly heavy.

I'm completely in agreement with Scott. I SBRed mine as well. I also have an AR style pistol (non Sig) but basically the same as the 400. If I could only have one it would be the 556. However IF I intended to keep it in pistol configuration I would probably go with the lighter weight of the 400.

I am most likely going to keep it in pistol configuration with the SB15 Brace.
