Has anyone thought about doing something like this so you have backup iron sights if needed.

This would be the rear sight fully on the rear of the rail. It has a backup flip up peep sight.



The put one of these KAC BUIS's at the front of the rail...



The other option is to buy these and then wait for the new Aimpoint Micro to come out. It should fit inbetween these.

I've been thinking about the HK setup but for the life of me couldn't remember where I saw them.

Yeah I thought about getting the HK system too, not the one above though. I like this one on the MP7. I wonder if you can order these replacements straight from HK.

If not I will probably go with a flip-up CAT system since the PS90's rail is so short. The CAT system helps increase the sight radius from both ends since it extends a little for/aft of the rail.

Since my aging eyes can't focus such a short sight radius I went with fiber optics instead. I find them more visible than BUIS and all I do is place the target on top of the blurry green dot on top of the blurry red dot and I'm dead-on at 50yds.

To Tomac, Just saw your solution , Cool! Great minds think alike! Just in case & For emergencies KISS, although I don't think my Trijicon reflex II will ever break, they do get old, as do we all. :roll:

Agreed! I don't think my Aimpoint CompM4's will ever break, but, just in case...
