Let's have it guys. WHAT accessories are you thinking about? Here's mine, and I would like to know what you all are thinking as well!

1. MIAD GRIP (IF they work? I think they do, RIGHT GUYS?) BLK OR FDE in color. Not sure. I really wish I could find some pics of BOTH BLACK AND FDE so I could see what looks best. Same goes for the next few accessories:

2. TD Rail Panels (OR KAC?) TD are usually a tighter fit though. Again, not sure whether I want Black OR FDE???

3. TD Stubby VFG- I've never been much for VFG's, but I think this gun just screams "VFG" compatible, so I'm going to at least try one. BLK or FDE??

4. Sling: Padded VCAS: I've always used the black ones, but this time, I'm thinking either OD green, OR FDE padded! I think OD just might be the ticket, to change things up a bit. Of course, black WOULD look nice too. I just think a FDE VCAS would be TOO much FDE on this gun, ya know?

5. PMAGS. OR the new "EMAGS". I'm thinking BLACK PMAGS/EMAGS for SURE guys. I always thought black PMAGS looked great in the LWRC FDE AR's...

6. Optic: Aimpoint? M3/M4S maybe? Hell, I'm even thinking a Micro T1/H1 might even be the ticket here guys. IF I had the YEN, I would seriously be considering one of those FDE TA31-ECOS ACOG's, but those are just too spendy right now.
Besides, as I said earlier, I'm thinking that I'll use some black accessories on parts of this gun. For anyone who has seen the LWRC FDE guns, you will notice that the BLACK Magpul CTR stocks, and the PMAGS look GREAT on that FDE gun. I am not quite sure which parts I'll use in black, but I DO KNOW that some black accessories will look MUCH better than if I were to go with ALL FDE items on my SCAR guys.
What do you guys have planned on your SCARS?
I think I'm really going to enjoy this setup. 8)

I have a brand new Trijicon TA31ECOS in Dark Earth, with the 7MOA Doc Optic up top, waiting for the gun to get here. THE PERFECT OPTIC for the SCAR, IMO

Tons of PMAGS.

MIAD in FDE if it fits. Please confirm this people. EOTech 553 in FDE for the optic. Tango Down stubby VFG or full size. I haven' t decided yet. Tango Down FDE rail covers. Surefire X300 or M600 LED Scout light in FDE with push button tail cap. 2-pt Viking Tactics sling.

I think I'll slap a Schmidt and Bender or an ACOG on the SCAR Hvy if it comes out or the HK MR762 if that ever comes out.

Well, I have mine put back together and is ready to be sighted in (minus a sling, should be in next week). I was planning on a day @ the range sighting mine in, but we had some really nasty weather today. I did shoot a few rounds from my back deck just for giggles ( I live wayyyy back in the country). The feltl recoil was different than with my ARs. I then attached a suppressor and shot a few more rounds. To my ear (I don't have a sound meter) it sounded quiter than my ar with the same suppressor. It would be interesting to see if it actually is quiter. Here is a pic I took this evening. Sorry about the pic/lighting.

I changed the muzzlebrake from the PWS to a AAC M41000 mount to match the old-style M42000 suppressor that I have. The PWS just screws off. I didn't have access to a vice or barrel blocks so I shipped it my gunsmith and had him do it. It cost $20 including return shipping. The AAC mounts adds a little more to the OAL of the barrel versus the PWS comp.

Ok guys, so can ANYONE show me a pic of a SCAR with an Aimpoint on it? Preferably an M4/M4s, or a Micro T-1 or something?
I'm sick of seeing SCARs without optics, or with those dang Eotechs.
I've seen the ACOG a time or two, (but would still like to see another ACOG pic or two), but I'd really like to see some good, up close pics of all the Aimpoints on the SCAR.
Anyone putting an Aimpoint on theirs? I know they will be the most prevalent optic on the SCAR, once everyone gets theirs setup.
I just need some teaser pics or something so I can see what the T-1 and M4s look like on the SCAR!

I don't have an Aimpoint so I had to use the next best thing. Also installed, Magpul grip, Vltor bipod, light and rails (they're to long so I'll be cutting them down soon). Enjoy

as that some of the parts I installed are from other rifles I have, the future plans for this Scar are: A.R.M.S. rings, Nightforce 2.5-10 X 32 NSX, and Black Magpul grip. Light was just installed for the photo.

Hey Social Casualty,
Have you tried to fit the other MIAD rear grip plate onto the SCAR? Did it work? I'm referring to the one that rides up the backside "curvature" of the lower receiver. Does it work?
Also, I too have been torn between ordering a FDE MIAD grip, or a BLK MIAD grip. Same with rail panels. Not sure if black would look best, or FDE?
Are you really thinking that the BLACK MIAD and Rail Panels are going to look best??
Wish I could decide which looks best, but I'll eventually come to a decision for sure.

One more question: What exactly makes the TD rail panels from BCM special for the SCAR? Is it simply the length? I would think so.
I know the texture is different, but I really liked the old texture better.
I really wish KAC panels would fit, and lock into place. I would have liked to have used those. FN should have milled out that tiny little portion of the rail to accept the KAC panels. Guess I could do it myself, but that would surely hurt the finish on the gun. Not worth IMO. I'll just stick with the TD panels, OR maybe the new Magpul XTM? interlocking panels will work. (right?)

The only change I might make would be to try and get an Elcan Spetre DR in FDE (I can dream can't I?), if not that, I kinda like the Aimpoints.

Started off using the Tango Down Rail Covers and Forward Grip, but after extended use went over to the Troy Industries Rails Covers & Forward Grip. Those Tango Down rail covers are warped which causes them to be difficult to remove, which when so difficult to remove, can turn the rail itself into a meat grater for the fingers.

The MAID (with the rear curved section) out of the box needs to be slightly modified to sit correctly in the "backside curvature" but would be very simple to do with a rounded file. As that this grip is not going to be a regular on this rifle here's a couple close ups without the modification done.
I do feel the Black MAID would have a better look but as for the rails I'm just not sold on the Black yet but time will tell.
As for the KAC, I have no experience with them but wouldn't it be possible to modify them in a way so they lock in? I would hate to have to do Any kind of permanent mods to the rifle.
