Well if any of you read my welcome post you'd know that I ordered a FNS-9C about 12 days ago and was really looking forward to being a new member of the FN owner community. It was supposed to arrive mid-last week and with the weather around Indiana it was delayed to an estimated delivery date of March 7. Well March 7 has come and gone with my pistol nowhere to be found. I've contacted the USPS Inspector's Office and they are doing an inquiry now. Keep your fingers crossed that it shows up soon. Right now I'm $500 in the hole with nothing to show for it.

I feel your pain. I ordered a custom knife last Wednesday shipped Priority Mail. These don't come available very often. The last update I got on the tracking was last Thurs. when it said it left the Portland facility at 3 am. No updates on it since then. I haven't been able to get through to a real person on the phone yet to find out what the deal is, but I doubt they tell me anything other than it is "in transit". I guess there are varying degrees of PRIORITY. I wonder if Newman is still working for the PO?

Got some good news this morning. Postmaster General called and said it should be in today. I can't complain about my local guys as they've been more than helpful in keeping me posted (no pun intended). I'm guessing with the weather in Indiana and Kentucky last week they had to resort to getting it here by horseback. At least that's my best guess.

Good to hear. At least you got it resolved. How did you actually get to talk to a real person?
Initially I had to call the 1-800 approx. a dozen times before I figured out how to manipulate the system and for the life of me can't remember exactly what I did. I filed a claim and was told they would "look in to it". This was through their customer service center. After a couple days without hearing anything I contacted the Postal Inspectors Division (my regional office is located in Pittsburgh) and went that route. They got me in contact with a local inspector who followed up with me about it. I also live in a very small town so the Postmaster General knows my FFL very well. He also contacted me by cell twice. I hope to pick it up by 5 this afternoon and will due a range report shortly after if all goes well.
