people debate 9mm or 45acp, how about the super nines. the super nines have more power then the 45. some times it is nice to be different. the super nines are the 357 magnum,38 super,357sig. and the 9x23.

the 357 sig came out in 94. it was made for sig-saur by federal. its performance is better then that of a 40 or 45, not as great as a 357 mag. but close.it is shorter then the magnum os the pistols do not have to be as large as a coonan arms 1911 style 357mag.

Super 9? Just FYI the .38 spl came long before the rest of the rounds you are talking about ....even the .45acp so you might say Hybred .38 spl
BTW
the 9mm is .355 and the .38/357 is .358 I have loaded both rounds the .357mag is not even in close to the others a 357 MAGNUM HYDRA-SHOK JHP @158gr HP is still moving 1100fps @100 yards .....
9x23 is a 38 super I think ....

abpt1 the 9mm and all the super nines are 35 cal. the 38spl came out in 1902 the 9mm came out in 1902,they are called super nines because of power differnce. the bullet diameter for all 35 cals. from 380acp-357 mag. range from .355-.358. the 38 super came out in 1929 and is not the 9x23 largo it is in fact 9x21. the 9x23 largo came out in the clinton years, and is compaired to the 38 super. however the largo is a higher velocity round. the 357 sig came out in 1994.
