Does any one worry about the fnp-45 wearing the finish off due to the leather part being flat instead of molded like the outer side is. When i purchased it I was thinking both sides were molded and now it makes one side of gun shiny from rubbing on the leather, It is still an awsome holster but I dont want my finish coming off my weapon within a year.

I have not had any trouble with the finish on my 9. It isn't even really shiny. The gun pretty much lives in the holster and I practice drawing it quite a bit at home. I'm not worried about the finish at all. It seems to be holding up real well.

I'm not sure I can really relate to this question if it's only about esthetics.

Any good holster is going to show wear on your weapon as it has to grip the the outlying points and protuberances.

Personally, if I'm carrying a weapon it's never been to show it off. I have no "safe queens" and don't plan on it. All my guns are tools that each have a specific function.

My many years in combat arms has ingrained the conclusion that rubs, dings and scratches are not what matters as long as the weapon is clean and functional.
