Suppressing the Five-seveN after all

4999 Views 59 Replies 23 Participants Last post by  mjk1
I wasn't planning on getting a suppressor for my USG. I didn't have any particular reason, just trying to save a buck. But, I suck at saving...and at sticking to plans. SO, I just ordered up a Jarvis barrel and a Spectre II. I was going to hold out for the Axiom, but I wanted to get the ball rolling. I've been honest about my patience, so that can't really come as a shock. Maybe I can get an Axiom farther down the line.

Also, again, a big thanks to Silencer Shop. Good Lord it's easy to order...too easy, really.

If I read correctly, I take it I'll need an adapter to mate these two. Any suggestions? The Barrel is 10x1 mm RH, the can is 1/2x28.

good decision. Time has been a factor and I still haven't tried my spectre but if videos mean anything should be bad ass

btw this is first time you didn't put the scenario out there how you talked the wife into it lmfao. Was it her idea?
Her idea? :-D
No. That would mean we had entered some sort of wildly unstable parallel universe...possibly one run by hyper-intelligent lizards.
Our 22nd anniversary is next week and she begrudgingly let me get a .22 can. She is a rock and roll star that way.

I picked up a couple different adapters. One from Elite and one from Tornado Tech (Silencer Shop recommendation). Why two? I can't really give a good answer to that. Maybe I just like getting things in the mail.
I just asked the sales person why he sent you to Tornado Tech why he told you that one instead of the one we have. He was not aware that we have the SilencerCo adapters in stock for the 5.7 pistol.
Damn. How much is it, and which one do I need to order?
I'm not saying ours is better or worse that any other one. I haven't seen the others to compare it. In our video we used our adapter and it worked great. Ours is $35.

Thanks for the info. I have to let my CC cool down a bit. It's not like I need it right away.

Well, what the hell...I picked up the adapter from Silencer Shop also. I have an uncanny knack for misplacing things, so a few back-ups never hurt.

Yes, congrats akitainu....shooting the five seven suppressed is the cats as$, sorry for the pun.

Be careful with the good doc's advice-if you drive there, leave your wallet at home!
My wallet was just confiscated. She had to pick it up with oven mitts due to the blazing heat.

A little closer. I received my Jarvis barrel today. Still have a couple months on the Spectre II (today was one month pending). But my Octane 9 and 45 should be coming up anytime now.

Here she is with the Jarvis:

And with the adapter (Big thanks to Silencer Shop. I bought three different ones, but the Silencerco is the nicest)

I just got the email from Silencer Shop with the tracking number for the Spectre II!

Of course it's coming tomorrow and I'll be stuck at the doctor's office for a good chunk of the day, so there's a pretty good chance I won't get it until Friday. But, either way, it's on it's way. Just in time for next week. These are good times. Good times, indeed.

We need a pic !
Hopefully today...if I don't miss the UPS man...which is pretty much inevitable. But by tomorrow, I'll definitely make with the clickity-click.

As I figured, UPS chose today to deliver early. I was stuck in the doc's office until just now. Oh well. Tomorrow I'll hide in the rose bushes and tackle him when he comes up the walk.

I never did update this after I finally got to the range. The suppressor was definitely worth the time, money and general hassle...truly a sizzling good time.
