Had a funny today as my first shot was 8in. off my last range visit zero. I forgot that after I loosened, corrected the canted scope and locktited my bolts, that it might throw the scope off. So you won't see what I was aiming at. I panicked that my new scope sucks. I took an old load (25.2) of Tac and was trying to get a plinking round settled as I have a couple thousand SS109 62gr. bullets I should use instead of all the Custom Comps I've been burning, and a fellow over on AR15.com questioned about accuracy, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. My other targets have a few SS109 attempts, but the last two days have been pretty nice. My plan was to shoot 3 to warm, go to a different target and try for 5. Since shot one was way off (remember 8") and the next three looked promising, I just kept on going. The last 4 made a nice hole. I moved my aim a little and wish I had 5 more, as I would have tried for another group. So I'm going to try again tomorrow, but that many touching for a Nato round is a surprise. With the scope more settled I'm going to try for an accurate SS109 group and compare it to a 62gr fusion group--which should be a better bullet. We'll see.
