I was going to just IM Sarge, but I thought others might be interested in this as well.

Is the TangoDown SCAR armorer block set the tool of choice for muzzle work? I have a 10" barrel for my 16S and I want to remove the factory FH. I have been told these FH's can be difficult to remove, so I want to use the best tool for the job.

The armorer's block looks like it clamps on the barrel and the FSB to hold the barrel in place while removing the muzzle device. Are there any concerns this setup might put pressure on the gas block and cause it to move or rotate out of place?

Any info on these armorer's blocks would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Gas block is pined in place and I seriously doubt you'll be able to exert enough force without a 4' cheater bar on the wrench to damage the gas block while using the TD blocks.

Personally, I set the barrel extension in the smooth jaw vise and remove the muzzle attachment with the appropriate wrench.

Yes, the ECP hider is on tight, so be sure to use the correct size wrench so it doesn't slip.
