I recently picked up my 2nd FNX 45 (NIB/blued & unfired) and noticed the finish becomes dull (almost a grey color) when handling. I wipe it with a silicone cloth and it becomes a delicious black. I have a black FNX 45 Tac on layaway so I'm curious if this normal?

It's normal. It looks faded when dry.

Give it a nice coat of CLP after use...put it on wet and let it soak in...will give it a nice look while protecting it...enjoy!

Yes, it's normal. FN finish is like parkerized which doesn't look as good as other manufacturers' proprietary coating process, but it doesn't affect the function in the slightest.
