My name is Tim and I am a Gunaholic...I am powerless over guns and my life is unmanageable; knives too... 8) 8)
Today I added a new pistol to my collection - a NIB Sig P245 - the compact version of the P220. Dimensionally it is very close to the H&K USP Compact, but about 1/2" longer...took it to the range for some 9" Paper Plate Target Destruction...it works very nicely, manageable recoil, etc.
What does that have to do with an FN Forum? Well I am waiting for parts pieces to begin my Fall/Winter project - Pistol Building 101. On another forum someone has a sticky post about building an Inglis Hi-Power. Numrich (www.e-gunparts.com) has matching s/n Black Enamel Inglis Hi-Power slide and frame combinations available for $94.95! According the the builder, one gun he built looked like maybe 100-200 rounds had been fired through it! I live in Michigan so today I went and applied for my purchase permits (being really bitten I don't do things in moderation; if one build it good then two will be better!!!) because I received shipping confirmation and will pick them up next week. The search for parts is underway; I will try to keep them close to Inglis Brownings but I am more interested in shooters. I will photo/web journal the build process for everyone.
