Anyone here besides me keeping track of the rounds they shoot thru their PS90? What about their other guns?

I started this a couple of years back when I flipped my gun collection. I basically started over, and had the opportunity to start doing this...

A couple of examples...

PS90

12-15-06 100 Rounds (197)
12-27-06 060 Rounds (197)
01-27-07 100 Rounds (197)

TOTAL – 260 Rounds

-------------------------------------------
Walther P99

06-29-06 165 Rounds (15 Hollow Points)
07-22-06 160 Rounds (5 Hollow Points)
08-06-06 150 Rounds (5 Hollow Points)
08-12-06 200 Rounds
08-26-06 200 Rounds
09-09-06 215 Rounds
10-15-06 114 Rounds
10-28-06 158 Rounds (7 Hollow Points)
12-03-06 084 Rounds
12-15-06 066 Rounds
01-13-07 200 Rounds

TOTAL – 1712 Rounds

I have only done round counting with my american 180 , by tearing the ends off the ends of the box and dropping them in a grocery bag, I stoped about 6 months ago at the 14k round point with it , almost 700 thru the ps90 in the past two weeks

I do a lot of shooting. For some of my guns I keep a simple record by logging every mag or box of ammo spent with a check-mark.

I have put roughly 2200 through one PS90.
I have yet to hit 1000 with my USG, but I have a 20 gauge that is only a year old and it has 10,000 rounds through it already!

It is a little scary to think of the amount of lead that I have introduced to the local soil. I should shoot more 5.7- the ammo that's good for the environment! :D

I keep track of how many times I wear each pair of socks...I like to make sure I give each pair the same number of wears.

blue...16
red...14
black...32

OMG Tonight, I've got to wear more red and blue!!

Just kidding, if I had the organising skills I wish I had kept track of how much ammo my guns have had through them.

Round Count

I started to seriously track round counting after I had TWO(!!) 220s go down within seventeen rounds of each other - this was weeks before I was to go to Iraq. SIG said that the trigger spring that sprung should be replaced ever 5K rounds. (The plus side of that story is that one of those 220s had well over 20K through it that year!)

Ever since then, I've been rather anal about maintenance, and thus round counting.

I can't afford to do that :p

I put another 50 rounds thru mine today. I had another box w/ me, but decided to hold it until next time. I am also trying to slowly stock up 1000 rounds for it, in case there is ever a shortage.

Buy 2 boxes: One for the range, one for the war chest. It'll add up quickly.
Yea, I am trying to do that - locally, they have been outta the ammo for 2 months, though. I've bought a couple of boxes thru CMMG, and another at a gunstore when I was in another town.

I got to try out the 195 hollow point ammo today, though. Since the point of impact is about the same as the 197 (which I used to zero my gun), I'm keeping my loaded mag with 197 ammo now.

I did just order 250 rounds thru CMMG today - that's $100. That will put me at 600 rounds now, after it comes in.

Ship, I've got whole Excel files designed around keeping track of everything I spend on my guns and how many rounds I shoot through them and average cost per round and how full my ammo cache and "go to war" cache is and other such stuff. I gave Wil (Baca) a copy and he loved it. I'd be happy to shoot you mine so you have an example (I've modified it a bunch since I offered it up many many months ago). Just shoot me a PM.

In the last 2 weeks.
3,000 between the PS90 and the FiveSeven
100 in the PBR
100 in the FNAR

Of course this was all work related for weapons demos and the sighting in of the FNAR.

Randy's got a good idea going--let's all make shooting part of our job so that: 1) work buys the ammo, and 2) we get to write it off!

So, the more we shoot, the less any tax increases would affect us!

Appreciate the offer, but that's okay. I have a Word document, and I have it split up by gun, and I just make an entry everytime I go.

I don't want to know what it is costing me to shoot. I only want to know the # of rounds. If I see a dollar value there, I'll probably
