trijicon night sights

I own the fns 40 and just purchased the fns 9. The sights on the 40 appear to be identical to the 9 however they are not near as bright. Does fn warranty cover the trijicon sights or should I take it to a gunsmith to have them replaced? There is a big difference.

I talked to fn service today and he informed me that trijicon night sights do fade with time. He also said I could send it in so they can evaluate the age of the weapon and determine if the fading is premature. 4 week turn around. hmmm?
check with trijicon u might be able to send them just ur sights
Were trijicon night sights factory on the FNS-40? Mine are white and have NO illumination.

You can get both versions. The ones with night sights came out first (at least in my area).

Unless they're a defective run, a tritium sight should provide adequate illumination for 12-15 years. If they're that dim, you may just have bad sights since no FNS made could be anywhere near that age. Mine are incredible.
I just learned that the Law Enforcement version did not come w/ night sights. Only the civilian / commercial ones came w/ them. Sucks to be me.

you learned wrong then. both of my LE FNH pistols (FNS-9 and FNS-40) came with factory night sights on them.
I have no idea what version I have. I seen it at the store, I felt it and I bought it. It has a manual safety but does not have night sights.
Some come with the night sights and some do not. Why I don't know but I made sure did.
Trijicons were only standard on the first runs of the FNS (2012-ish). Subsequent runs have them as an optional feature, not a standard one.
