I talked to fn service today and he informed me that trijicon night sights do fade with time. He also said I could send it in so they can evaluate the age of the weapon and determine if the fading is premature. 4 week turn around. hmmm?
You can get both versions. The ones with night sights came out first (at least in my area). Were trijicon night sights factory on the FNS-40? Mine are white and have NO illumination.
Unless they're a defective run, a tritium sight should provide adequate illumination for 12-15 years. If they're that dim, you may just have bad sights since no FNS made could be anywhere near that age. you learned wrong then. both of my LE FNH pistols (FNS-9 and FNS-40) came with factory night sights on them.I just learned that the Law Enforcement version did not come w/ night sights. Only the civilian / commercial ones came w/ them. Sucks to be me.
