So... after reading up reviews and recommendations, I decided to pull the trigger and get the Urban ERT sling for the SCAR with the two MASH Clips. Got it in on Friday and tried setting it up today.... some thoughts:

1. Mounting the sling correctly. Is this mounted correctly? Front (http://i.imgur.com/tr1OWE2.jpg) and Rear (http://i.imgur.com/oOK5m6M.jpg). I originally had the rear MASH clip directly attached to the rifle, but the sling mount on the SCAR 17 is so stupidly small, it has no freedom of movement. More pics while wearing: #1 (http://i.imgur.com/nHWER2O.jpg) and #2 (http://i.imgur.com/WmsLmtC.jpg).

2. I also sheathed the MASH clips in paracord... is this partly why the clips don't move freely? I'll experiment later without the sheaths on there... but I also want to reduce wear-and-tear on the sling points if possible, so if I ditch the sheathing, what's the easiest way to reduce the sharp edges on the MASH clips?

3. With respect to the rear clip, the OTHER reason I looped it through paracord is because the sling seemed to interfere with my cheek weld. Is this due to something with my set up? Or what? See here (http://i.imgur.com/RSjeSKE.jpg). Even through the para-loop, it still gets in the way of a cheek weld on the stock...

4. How would I set this sling up to be single point? It came with 2 MASH clips, a ring clip with a Male clip and Female clip, and one Female clip with a loop on it. Or do I need to get another component?

Thanks!

Okay, I'm an idiot... just found this video on Youtube which answers most of my questions...

Specifically: set-up of the sling, and single point options. Mine appears to be able to turn into a SP sling!

As for filing... would a Dremel work?
