I have heard mention of this sight, but haven't seen pics of heard many reviews of it yet. Is this the "black reticle" sight that everyone is talking about?

Nevermind. Just answered my own question accidentally while looking around on gunbroker. Incidentially...

...here's one of these sights for sale - no reserve - from magazineparts. It's no good to me since I've got a TR, but I bet someone wants it. :)

You can see the difference from the regular white reticle in that the USG sight is "square" on top, right angles. Not sloped like the white reticle.

Just a helpful tip.

The Standard sight is not "sloped". It just has a lip at the end of each top.

Standard Sight on Left and USG Sight on Right

Judging from the provided pictures, this sight seems like you're looking through a lens the size of a nickel. Is that about right? Seems kind of small to be good for quick target acquisition.

I'm just speculating seeing as how I don't have one.
