What's the point of this thread?
That's what I was wondering :-D If you will never own one why do you care if others like it?

Please tell us why you will never own one. I'm guessing since you do not like Glocks either you must not like the action on those guns. You probably won't like the M&P9 either then.

Do you know someone who got hurt with one?

I read 1 review on another site (He posted it on multiple sites, actually), and he was shooting +p rounds thru it and it broke. He sent it back and has gotten it back, and everything works fine.

I held one on Sunday - It was okay. But, I already have a Walther P99 compact, so I don't see the point of spending oodles more money on a gun that is the same size except for a tiny, tiny bit of width difference.

Walther makes some fantastic firearms. I don't know if there is any inherent design issues in this gun - it is too new to tell. But, many, many gun companies release new guns and then have some issues with them for a year or so. That's life, unfortunately.

So, don't discount Walther.

Had a P99 in 9mm and .40. Loved it. Sold the first for money, traded the last for the 5.7mm. I will eventually buy another 9mm version, but will probably pick up another Witness .45 or 1911 first.

Had a PPK S&W made in stainless -- looked absolutely beautiful. Sucked like hard vacuum. Jammed incessantly. I have an FEG knockoff that has never jammed and is super accurate, but looks like crap.

C'mon ss190... Glocks are some of the most reliable and lightweight hand guns made. While I personally prefer DA/SA hand guns, I have owned Glocks longer than any other. If I were in a survival situation and could only carry one side arm and head for the hills, Glock would be one of the hand guns on my short list of arms to carry.

I did not like the PPS cause I had one to many jams with the ammo I was using. Who knows maybe it was my falt, maybe I wasn't holding my mount right when I shot it. But at that time I already had a Glock and liked its relability, and symplicity. So I sold it and bought another Glock.
