How has it performed shooting? How is the balance with a fully loaded mag?
I just picked it up last Thursday, but I should have answers to those questions next week. I wanted to get to the range this week, but things got all out of whack with the holiday sandwich. I may be able to slip off to the range on Friday, but that is a long shot. Next week everything should be back to normal and I get back to my regular range routine.

Snuck off to the range today instead of doing yardwork. The weeds never hurt anyone. Who am I to judge?

Space-man ray-gun day:
Air gun Trigger Luggage and bags Bag Machine gun

The P50 went through 150 rounds, fired as fast as I could pull the trigger...ate and shot them all. I used FN mags. Ammo was SS197. As you can see from the below pic, my eyes and those tiny sights are a crappy mixture. My accuracy was atrocious...couldn't see a damn thing. Target was at 20 yards. I have an RDS for it, but wanted to shoot it as is for the first trip.

It was damn toasty in the range and my sweaty hands made for SLOW mag changes.

Also shot the M&P 12 (another slow to reload beast). Practical? Maybe. G'damn fun? Absolutely.

Here's the some of the brass. Unlike the PS90, where I come home with nearly every casing, I lost a lot of the P50 brass down the range. Note the 7.63 Mauser I accidently picked up along with the 5.7 brass

will have to add it to my list!
Might want to wait.

So I go to put the P50 in the safe. I always store guns with a snap cap. Why? Who Knows? The snap cap won't feed all the way. Why? There is a damn case neck in the chamber. It had to be the last round, as I had no issues at the range.

Best pic I could get:

Crap ...... well at least it let you get some rounds down range. Let me know how it goes and if it happens again. I was reading that they made some changes related to the number of scres in a location .... will see if I can find the link and send it to you. At least they have good customer support in my experience :-(

I guess the newer ones come with 4 screws verse the older ones which came with 3 or so I hear.

I REALLY wanted one of these when first announced. A 50 round handgun using magazines I already own shooting a potent little cartridge that I normally carry, it was the perfect backpack and traveling gun that could be left loaded for emergencies. Then they announced the $1000 price and when released you couldn't touch one for that. Over the year I've gotten 3 of my 30 round mags to work perfectly in the FiveSeveN and so I've backed off my plans for getting the Kel-Tec for now. Really do appreciate the write-up on yours, it's good information for the future. Thanks.

Yeah, this is one of those cases where my sudden, unexplained enthusiasm completely overpowered my sense of cautiousness. It happens. It'll happen again.

Going to work on getting that casing out later...maybe. I picked at it for a few minutes when I found it yesterday and said "Fudge, it. It's dinnertime."

Kel-tec is all buttoned up until next week. I'll probably reach out to them.

For the money I've plunked down, I could have gotten that Delta Elite I've wanted for years. At least the suppressor I ordered for it has lots of other hosts waiting. Got to look at the bright side.

I had that happen in my first PS90, a near new stiff cleaning brush got it out. Pushed from the muzzle end if I remember correctly. Either that or from the chamber end using a brush in a drill to dislodge it. Good luck. I have those sudden "unexplained enthusiasm completely overpowered my sense of cautiousness" times too......more often than I'd like to admit.

So far I've tried (multiple passes with each):
A bore-snake from the muzzle: no dice.
A rod and patch (also a brush) through from the muzzle: no dice.

I can see it. I can feel it with the rod. The f*cker is quite happy in there.

I don't have a tap set, but will keep that in mind. I haven't given up, but only work on it right up to the point where I start to get pissed. Then I set it down and do something else.
I still have a couple things still to try. The chamber of the P50 isn't quite as accessible as the PS90, which is a drag. With the PS90, you pull the receiver and POW there's the unobstructed chamber.

Did the brass show anything concerning? I normally never even bother to look at brass, so I'll freely confess ignorance. I pick up what I can, throw it into one of my 15 gallon water jugs and forget it.

I would just send back to Kel-tec let them fix it! So they're aware of the issue!
Yeah, I'll contact them Monday. Thing is like a scab...I can't quit picking at it.

To me it looks like it's stretching the brass vs allowing the shoulder to move. Was that AE TMJ or SS197SR? This is the Gold Dot on the repaired/upgraded P50. Notice that the necks do not retain the original shape of the unfired round like yours appear to be:

It was all 197. Thanks for the pics as reference. I'll reach out to Kel-tec next week. Hopefully their service is as good as I've heard.
