197 or 195 - there seems to be a lot of back and forth on which is the better self defense ammo.

Which is your choice and why?

Well, I think I am preferring the 197 - while it doesn't have the penetration of the 195 - I have read some impressive tests members of various boards have done. I think the expansion is worthwhile compared to the yaw of the 195.

At first, I loaded up my PS90 with 195 - but after I shoot the current mag, I may keep 197 in it.

Also, while my PS90 shoot at about the same point of impact with 195 or 197 - I have read that it makes a bigger difference in the Five Seven. Supposedly, the 195 is spot on with the sights and 197 is low.

I will probably only use 197 in the Five Seven when I get it. Since it has adj sights, I may just set it for the 197 only.

What about U other newer members... Of the 2 factory ammo types - which do U prefer?

It is slower than the blue tip stuff, but works the same. It's probably towards the bottom of the list for self defense purposes.
