Many on the Interweb swear by the bore guides that Mike Lucas makes, such as in THIS ARTICLE. Others suggest it's sufficient to use one from SINCLAIR. but our action is not listed.

Everyone says a bore guide is absolutely necessary, so which one do you use?

The Sinclair bore guide :?

IIRC I just use the Remington 700 I bought for my other rifle and works fine for me.

Which one from Sinclair do you use? I'm not seeing one for the Remington 700. I will measure my bolt diameter tonight.

Sinclair for me as well. the O-ring seal that seals it to the chamber area keeps it in alignment with the bore just fine. Sinclair 308 bore guide and a .27 Deweys rod works perfectly.

I ordered the O ring guide from Sinclair and it works great, but you have to know if your rifle was made before 2010 or after because FN changed the bolt diameter. They have one that will fit both. I could not find the right one in the catalog so I called and they found the right one.
