What changes/modifications would U like to see FN do to the PS90?

I guess for starters, I'd like to see:

1. A barrel that can be removed easier, in order to swop back and forth from the short barrel to the long barrel

2. A coyote brown colored stock would be kewl

3. Replacable stocks sold in various colors - at a decent price

4. Make spare parts available for purchase easier.

5. Sell the tri-rail at a cheaper cost.

6. Include the black reticle sight instead of the white one.

Fantasy firearm, my favorite game :D

1. A removable steel barrel with the ability to accept AR flash hiders. This is so I could put a suppressor on a 16" barrel if I wanted to. If I can do this with the current barrel, let me know.

2. More available calibers. Something a little bigger than 5.7x28 would be appealing to me.

3. A smoother, shorter, adjustable trigger.

4. A machined, lower, tri-rail receiver with longer side rails. Something that looks like it belongs on a $1500 firearm.

5. Lower price.

6. An accurizing bushing for the barrel (I'm not shooting 1" at 100 yards like everyone else  ).

7. For folks that prefer the standard receiver, for heaven's sake put a better stock sight on it. The black reticle sight would be a big improvement, but we can do better than that too.

The black reticle sight is cool in that the front lens of the sight is lower than the rear lens. FN could really make a cool sight that had the front lens just above the bore, but with the rear lens at a comfortable height. No more shooting 4 inches low at across the room ranges.

8. Better backup sights for the standard receiver and some backup sights for the tri-rail. My 45 year old eyes need the sights further forward too.

9. Offer a quality version of the Nitro Vo quad rail.

10. Give the receiver more flat spots and mounting holes. The standard receiver is very hard to add stuff too.

Edited to add: Added to 7, added 9 and 10.

1. An upper receiver that actually looks like it belongs on a 1600 dollar gun made in 2007 not like some piece from an old steam engine from 1850. The sides look like someone did a bad Bondo job on a dented chevy fender before spray painting it.

2. Better iron sights.

Less bore to sight difference. Very embarrassing to have trouble hitting the round end of a can at 20 feet. A nice overall finish on the metal parts would be nice. I don't mind the plastic, it's the 21st century after all

1. 50 round mags included instead of 30 rounders (wtf?)
2. Lower price (50% more than the full auto version is pushing it)
3. Factory SBR version (I think they already have this for LEOs, a semi-auto only P90)
4. Integral laser option as the real P90 has
5. .22 LR conversion kit (most consumers are going to be using this as a range toy)
6. Free complimentary Samantha Carter

Well, CMMG is finally selling your #3 at least. So, U need not worry about conversions. U just send in the paperwork to begin with.

And for #6, I'm with ya :)

I would also jump on a dark earth stock. It should come ready to go (sans trigger pack) so all you have to do is a simple field strip.

While not practical, I would also buy a 100% clear transparent stock and magazine for display. Make it and I will buy it. Someone has allready done this for the Steyr Aug.

I would like to see a more powerfull green internal laser option that can be used in broad daylight with pulsating beam or solid beam switch and also an dot intensity level switch. Green lasers are getting damn bright for indoor night time use so a switch to turn down the intensity is a must, maybe up and down buttons like the EoTech sight has would be appropriate. It would also be neat if the laser projected an image similar to the Eotech, a circle with a dot in the middle for faster sighting.

I like the idea of lowering the factory sight to the bore using a backwards periscope concept to eliminate hold over problems. This is a CQCB weapon so it needs to be "on" at close and mid ranges. I despise hold over shooting in hostage situations because you may accidentally shoot the hostage if your not aiming high enough.

On that same note about lowering the sight to the bore of the weapon, many of us civilian shooters will never (hopefully) need to shoot their PS90 with a gas mask on. The TR model's rail still sits too high for mounting an EoTech and some other red dot sights designed for the AR-15. The TR model's rail should be lowered so its in the same geometry as the AR15 similar to this picture stolen from a member here.
