I used to carry Hydrashok for years and years.
Recently, I switched to Winchester white box JHP - I saw some tests about the rounds and they show the round to be comparable to other leading JHP. I started carrying that about a year ago. It's better quality than the cheaper target ammo.

It really depends on my mood, and if I am at work.
Usually, I carry Winchester Black Talon or Silvertip, but I also have Federal Hydrashok and RUAG Action4. Action4 was specifically developped for Police use, and has quite nice stopping power.
When at work, I usually have to load Action4 or plain FMJ (Army).
But I actually have to say, that I think it's crap, that as soon as you serve your country in the Army, you have to use plain FMJ Ammo. All you Americans should understand that best, cause when you are in the Army, and even in Iraq or A'stan, you are bound by the Geneva Conventions, which prevent you from using that ammunition, that could save your life best.

actualy the convention does not ban HP's. We meaning our fine congress chose to interpet the section of the convention that states, paraphrazing here "weapons desigend to cause undo harm" as if shooting someone is not going to harm them, to include HP's. There is no reason other than our fata$$ politions sitting in thier nice safe offices decieded this.
Also Iraq is not a signatory of the convention so technicaly we can do anything, but we don't because of............well see above

I have a mix of ammo that I carry.
HK:
3 mags of Magtech Guardian Gold 115gr JHP 9mm +P
1 mag of Winchester PDX1 9mm 124gr
FNP40:
2 mags of Hornady 155gr XTP(non TAP) ONLY difference is the casing isn't black.
1 mag of corbon Powe'r ball
1 mag of Federal
1 mag of corbon JHP
HK:
