Looks like the prices are hovering around $2500-2600, with FDE commanding a slightly higher price than the black 17s. Availability has drastically increased since few months ago, a lot of places have them in stock now especially with the FDE.
Saw one in a very nice gun store for $3,350 in FL. GunBroker's average $2,400 to $2,600.
I purchased mine from a local gun shop in December 2013 for $2,400. I felt very lucky. The dealer had both models, but I got the more accurate black model. I didn't like the tri color green on the FDE model.
Three weeks ago I got my SCAR 17 FDE for $2500 on Gunbroker. I watched the auctions for a couple of weeks before bidding & felt like I got a good price based on what I was seeing both on Gunbroker and other firearm sites.
I got the FDE 17 from ammo bros for $2730 + tax/dros with radlock about 3 months ago, actually just got it off lay away, picking her up this weekend! Riflegear often has California compliant ones for $2799 FN Herstal SCAR 17S, FDE
Gander Mt had a black 17s for $3,199 (I know everything they stock is ridiculously priced, but they do have lots of guns to go look at) and I was able to get my pristine FDE 17s rifle from a private party for $2,200 with extras.
Well, I am ready to pull the trigger on a new SCAR 17s FDE
I put it on the cart on Grab a Gun last weekend along with a few more things . It was $2599.00 but today , when I went to actually place the order , they had the price raised $80.00 more at $2678.47 , so I stopped the order and decided to wait a little to see if they come down again .
If anybody knows of a better price , by all means let me know .
Picked up a factory new in box 17 in black two weeks ago on GB. for 2326. That's the best price I've seen on a new one. Stock is low on black right now because last run was FDE. Get a new one for 1 or 2 hundred more so you may not be buying someone else's headache. 2500 is average price now. Or should say going price now, they're not going to get any cheaper with Nov. right around the corner.
$2,500.00 N.I.B. FDE 7.62..I know not any steal. but I had to get one. I'm a really old former FAL guy, from the 60's..RON K.
