I feel FN wouldn't bother producing an old, over engineered rifle when they can keep selling SCARs. I doubt they even have working equipment to make FALs anymore. A new production FAL will probably sell as much as the SCAR.

The FN FAL is still made under license down in Brazil I think, possibly still down in Argentina but they may be switching to the varmint caliber M16s?

They won't be cheap, forging process takes a lot of time and labor.
