I may have a chance to pickup an excellent condition ('m told) from an estate of a serious collector a FN 5.7, but have not seen in person. If I provide a serial number can someone tell me what version this gun might be? What would be a fair price range for a good used one?

Hi. If the trigger guard is square it's a USG. If the trigger guard is rounded it's the older IOM model. If the pistol doesn't have a safety switch it's the earliest tactical model, which is valuable as a collectors item.

Right?? ..I think I've got that straight.
I don't know about prices for the IOM or tactical. $800 is a typical price for an as-new pre-owned USG.
