If you aren't authorized to talk about it, keep you trap shut.

Monday, according to the official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

A second law enforcement official, also speaking anonymously under the same conditions, said...
They weren't authorized to talk about it, but telling a reporter about it as long as they keep your name out of the report is alright. :roll:

Because they feel we need to know as soon as possible before all the facts are straight so we get into a panic over nothing (which is said at a later news meeting-but nobody believes because somebody said something contrary at an earlier time). :roll:

Because people love to tell secrets. Plain and simple. A secret is usually burning a hole thru peoples heads until they tell someone, so they blab.
