so 20 round mags isn't enough? how much is too much?

I'd imagine if you made some sort of relief cut where the mag interfaces with the mag well, they would work.

Saw a video of the new one using old mags without issue so there's always that option if they aren't compatible.

Just tried with old mag the mag release doesnt really drop it u have to pull it out manually

I talked to him, he could not load the full 10 rounds, like I already knew but wanted to ask what mods he did if any. The issue is the follower. If you look at this pic you can see the strengthened rib FNH added to the Gen2 mag. It necessitated a smaller follower and spring. This is why I/EA sell to different types of magazine springs. The extensions where designed to work with the lager follower and spring of the Gen1 mag. If you load the full 30 rounds the smaller follower
drop below the rib and does not properly transition into the body as you shoot.
