I'm a gun guy, but not really a knife guy. I've some decent blades back in my GI days such as the Cold Steel Trailmaster, Col Steel Magnum Tanto, Ek Commando Knife S/F, various Gerber MkIIs/Tac II, an Al Mar double edged dagger that I can't recall the model. Nowadays I prefer Swiss Army knives and Spyderco H20 series folding knives (for SCUBA diving). Long story short, no "fancy" blades...until today.

For a lark, I picked up a Super CQC-8 (aka ST8-BTS). So, will it make me super tactical and superbad?

Emerson+wave is usually great choice for stepping up. Good choice, they are built well.
In my years, I have come to the conclusion that a secondary small serrated Swiss folder will get the serrated jobs done, while keeping the primary large blade a full sweep for utility and sharpening.

Sorry Falman couldn't resist :biggrin: I bought a benchmade LFK a few years ago and it certainly made me feel like a ninja :-D. Seriously through that is a nice piece you have there, I like it!
