After having one of my 509's break a striker, I have replaced all of my FN striker fired guns with the Apex striker. I also have another FN 509 Midsize MRD on order and my Apex striker will arrive before the pistol.

And there’s no reliability issues with just adding the apex hd striker?

Nope, Apex's are great. FN fixed their OEM striker as well as offering an upgraded (for a lighter trigger pull) striker in their LS Edge and LEO models.
