I am not a fan of using a 30cal. can on 5.56 rifles. Tried it once and did not like it. Many 5.56 silencers are sold ever year, if it made no difference customers would only buy the 30cal cans and manufactures would only make the 30cal cans. I have used a 45cal pistol silencer on 9mm and 40S&W pistols and it was great but my main use was for a 45.
