SCAR 17s Pistol Grip Compatibility.

I know PMM makes custom grips, however most of the information is from early 2010s etc. This conversation pretty much died, maybe for an obvious reason i'm not aware of. Is it true that there are no commercially available grips other than the modded ones sold by PMM? I've seen Magpul released a new type two MIAD grip, but I've found nothing about it being a viable option. Any insight would be appreciated.

ERGO makes a Scar specific grip. Otherwise any AR grip + a few minutes with a dremel will work. Some people dremel the lower in order to fit grips, but I'd rather take a dremel to a $25 grip than a $300+ lower.

I agree, I would rather dremel the grip than the lower. Where on the grip do you have to dremel? I've never done this but just ordered a new grip.

I use the Ergo SCAR grip on both the 16 & 17.

I dremeled one of my SCAR 16 lowers and it works great. A new stripped lower is $125 at MGW, but we are talking about 1mm or so material to remove and allow you to run just about any AR grip.

I purchased my grip from PMM several months ago, and quite pleased with the fit. Its the MOE in fde.

Slight filing of the lower ($ 90 cheap disposable plastic) is preferable IMO to enable several switches and trying of grips... w/o the cost of "SCAR" pistol grips.. Was done on USG guns and personal guns w/o issue.
